Planet Earth

Earth is the third Planet from the Sun in the Solar System, located about 149.600.000 kilometers away. If we turn off the Sun, at this distance, the light should be about 8 minutes on Earth before become dark. It is estimated that the age of the Earth is about 4.54 billion years. In theory the Earth was created from the Nebula, with gas, dust and ice grains. That cloud is in the midst of collapsing gravity began to spin and straightened the round disc. Then, Planets are beginning to grow. Bits of dust and ice, circling around the young Sun, colliding and merging, were becoming larger and so have shaped our Planet. In the fierce mutual collisions of these huge building blocks were created Planets.

Moon orbiting the Earth, it was formed by the collision of two large bodies. One is the size of Mars, another of today’s Earth, which was later a smaller body, remained circling around the Earth. We call it Moon. Part of the collision threw debris into Space and some remained on the Moon and Earth. In these collisions, our Planet was hot and after cooling the surface of the Planet began to diverse life on Earth. It happened around one billion years after the occurrence. On the Planet also developed a very rich range of elements. Some of which were created on Planet and some have come from outer Space.

Mass extinction of life was followed by a few times. The biggest happened 65 million years ago an Asteroid or Comet impact in Mexico. Three-quarters of all species of plants and animals extinct. The core of Earth is still hot today. It develops a huge magnetic field that prevent some atmosphere to be stripped away by the solar wind and protects the Planet from cosmic and solar radiation. In fact, hot core and volcanic activity have made the atmosphere, where has been a release of gases including water vapor. Process greenhouse gases, preventing freezing of water surface. The oceans have been obtained by condensation of water and ice supplied from Asteroids and Comets. In fact, water covers 71% of the Earth’s surface and other is land with 29%. On land are high mountains and highest is Mount Everest (8850 m), above sea level.

Seasonal changes on Planet

Inclination of the Earth’s axis varies the amount of light that causes seasonal changes in climate. In summer the Sun climbs higher in the sky. Days are warmer and longer and in winter air becomes colder and the days shorter. Another key point, at the poles of the Planet there is no light for six months.

The day lasts 24 hours and one year have 12 months or 365 days, as required to make the Planet a circle around the Sun. Surface of the Earth is 510.065.284 km2. Land is only 148.939.063 km2 (29% of the total) and the rest is water (71%). Mass of the Earth is 5976 ∙ 1024 kilograms and the average diameter is about 12.742 kilometers. The relief is formed from volcanoes, earthquakes, wind, waves and icebergs passage through the valley. The crust is the outer layer of the Earth, the depth of 5 to 35 kilometers, followed by the upper mantle. Mantle and the core is composed mainly of iron with traces of nickel and silicates and make it outer core (2900 – 4980 km) and the inner core (5120 to 6371 km). The middle part of the core is solid and the external liquid.

The earliest material found in the Solar System is dated prior to 4.5672 ± 0.0006 billion years ago. In conclusion, then the Earth itself must be formed around this time. Most interesting is precisely that the Planet is found in the zone that is neither too close nor too far from the Sun. For this reason, the temperature of the Planet moderate and is suitable for life as we know it.

Planet Earth And Beautiful Places:

Turkey & Pamukkale

Pamukkale (in Turkish means “Cotton Palace”) is a complex of unique mineral springs in southwestern Turkey, near the city of Denizli. The region consists of hot springs, such as travertine limestone that has the unusual shape of shallow terraced pools. They are formed by pouring mineral water and deposition of minerals.

Scotland & Isle of Skye

Skye is the largest and most northern island in the Inner Hebrides of Scotland. Skye is the second largest island in Scotland after Lewis and Harris. Coast Skye is a series of peninsulas and bays. It is about 100 kilometers long. At peninsulas islands are rocky slopes that provide some of the most dramatic mountain scenery in the country. Many streams contain colorful stones of all colors.

Nepal & Tibet - Mount Everest

Mount Everest is the highest mountain on Earth and the highest point on the Earth’s continental crust. According to the measurement of the height, mountain is 8.848 meters above sea level. It is part of the chain of the Himalayas in Asia and is located on the border between Sagarmatha Zone in Nepal and Tibet autonomous region in China.

Australia & Great Barrier Reef

Great Barrier Reef is the world’s largest system of coral reefs and consists of more than 2.900 individual reefs and 900 islands that stretch for more than 2.300 kilometers, an area of about 344.400 square kilometers and can be seen from space. It is located in the Coral Sea, off the coast of Queensland, Australia. The biggest unique structure of living organisms and is made up of billions of tiny organisms called coral polyps.

U.S.A & Glen Canyon

Glen Canyon is located in the southeastern and south central Utah and northwestern Arizona in Vermilion Cliffs area. In fact, this large area is located north of the Grand Canyon, which is carved by the Colorado River.

U.S.A. & Antelope Canyon

Antelope Canyon is a slot canyon in the American Southwest, located on Navajo land east of Page, Arizona. It includes two separate canyons, referred to individually as Upper Canyon (or "The Crack") and Antelope Canyon (or "The Corkscrew"). In fact, it was formed by erosion of Navajo Sandstone.

Republic Of Seychelles & The Beach

Seychelles are an island country in the western Indian Ocean, which is about 1.600 kilometers from the coast of Africa. It's northeast of Madagascar. They are surrounded by island nations and territories. Mauritius and Reunion to the south, Comoros to the southwest and Maldives to the northeast. In fact, it consists of 115 islands in the Indian Ocean, of which 33 are inhabited.

U.S.A. & The Mount Shasta

Mount Shasta is active volcano at the southern end of the Cascade Range in Siskiyou County, California. In fact, at an elevation of 4321.8 m, it is the second highest peak in the Cascades and the fifth highest in California. For instance, Mount Shasta has an estimated volume of 85 cubic miles (350 km3), which makes it the most voluminous stratovolcano in the Cascade Volcanic Arc.

U.S.A. & Monument Valley

Monument Valley is a region of the Colorado Plateau characterized by a cluster of vast sandstone hill. In short, largest is reaching 300 m above the valley floor. In summary, it is located on the Arizona - Utah border, near the Four Corners area.

The South Pole & Antarctic

Antarctic is a continent that surrounds the South Pole of the Earth. It's the only one uninhabited continent for people on Earth. The average annual temperature in the interior of the mainland is -55 ° C. In the area east of the Antarctic ridge, measured temperature is -93.2 ° C. This is so far the lowest measured temperature in nature on Earth. Here are typically precipitation in the form of snow and prevailing ice.
