World of Quantum Physics

Quantum physics and mechanics are kind of physics. Quantum in physics is the minimum amount of any of the physical entities. For example, something that exists in itself, involved in the interaction and can be seen as energy and charge. Physical property can be quantified and the magnitude can take on only certain discrete values. Built in the theory of quantum mechanics physicists consider it as part of the basic framework for understanding and describing nature.

In some aspects of light appears as an electromagnetic wave. Submicroscopic level is absorbed and emitted in discrete quantum levels. In the light of a specific wavelength the size of quanta which are absorbed or emitted is the same in the momentum and energy. For example, the particles are like packets of light and they are called photons. They apply to the quantum of other forms of electromagnetic energy, such as X-ray and gamma rays. Quantum field theory is a fundamental branch of physics concerned with processes involving, For example, atoms and photons.

World of atoms and Quantum Physics

Atoms are the smallest neutral particles into which matter can be divided by chemical reactions. An atom consists of a small, heavy nucleus surrounded by a relatively large light cloud of electrons. The atomic nucleus consists of protons and neutrons and they are composed of quarks. Other particles are leptons, bosons, hadrons, baryons, mesons and many others.

Periodic table of elements

The periodic table is a tabular arrangement of the chemical elements. They are ordered by their atomic number (number of protons in the nucleus), electron configurations and recurring chemical properties. The table also shows four rectangular blocks (s-, p-, d- and f-block). In general, within one row (period) the elements are metals on the left side and non-metals on the right side. All these elements make up our Universe.
