Biology is the study of life

Biology is the science that deals with the study of life. Studying the properties and behavior of organisms, their growth, development and reproduction. In fact, this includes the interaction between different organisms and organisms and their environment. It covers a wide range of areas, which are often considered a variety of disciplines and together studying life at different levels.
Molecular biology, molecular genetics and biochemistry are the disciplines that study life processes at the molecular and supramolecular level. Cell science, studies life at the level of individual cells. For instance, anatomy, physiology and histology study the function and structure of organisms at the level of tissues and organs.
On Earth, there are more than 10 million different species. Their size covers a range of those microscopic organisms to the size of a blue whale. All life forms have properties that make them specific and different from dead matter. The above mentioned features are the ability to reproduction, growth and ability to adapt to the environment.
The most important areas of Biology unites five principles:
- The basic structural and functional unit of all known organisms is cell, basic unit of life
- New species and inherited traits are the result of evolution
- Gen is the basic unit of heredity
- Organisms regulate their internal mechanisms, in order to maintain a stable health condition
- Living organisms consume and transform various forms of energy
Areas of biology are protistology, zoology, botany, anthropology, ecology, cytology, evolution, microbiology, genetics, anatomy, histology, morphology, physiology, bacteriology, virology, zoology, entomology, ichthyology, herpetology, ornithology, mammalogy, embryology, molecular biology, geobotany and conservation biology.
