Numbers in Mathematics
Mathematics is the science of numbers or quantity, space, structure and change. Mathematical reasoning can provide insight or predictions about nature. Mathematicians look for patterns and use them to formulate new assumptions and solve truth or falsity of speculation in a mathematical proof. With abstraction and logic, mathematics developed through calculations, measurement, counting, movement of physical objects and study of the forms. Solving mathematical problems can take years. It is required in many areas such as natural and social science, medicine, engineering and others.
History of Mathematics
In the history, it is something that is shared by many animals. It's the realization that a set of two apples and two pears have something in common and that is the amount of their members. Prehistoric humans also had a way to count physical objects and other things and write them down to the bone. More complex appeared around 3000 years B.C., when the Babylonians and the Egyptians began to use arithmetic, geometry and algebra for taxation and other financial calculations, construction and astronomy. Earliest benefit of mathematics was trading, measurement of land, weaving patterns, painting and recording time.
